Texas Workforce Commission Meetings

TWC's three Commissioners hear administrative reports, discuss and act on agency business, and decide unemployment insurance cases. The public is invited to comment before the Commission on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Commission. Texas Business Conferences

Texas Business Conferences

The Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers sponsors the Texas Business Conferences, a series of employer seminars around the state. Employers are encouraged to attend at least one of the seminars in order to learn nuts and bolts information on state and federal employment laws and how to deal with the unemployment claim and appeal process.

Annual Texas Workforce Conference

Save the dates for the 23rd Annual Texas Workforce Conference scheduled for December 4 – 6, 2019, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.  

Are you interested in sharing your knowledge and being a part of the TWC/IAWP 23rd Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas? TWC is seeking proposals for creative and exciting conference sessions that will broaden horizons, enrich experiences and challenge workforce professionals in attendance. Texas Workforce Commission Financial Conference

On July 29-31, 2019, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) will host a statewide financial conference for recipients and subrecipients of state and federal grant awards that TWC makes. Topics will cover administrative, cost, and audit requirements.

No conference registration fee. Room rate: $130/night, plus taxes and fees. Complimentary self-parking. Complimentary shuttle within a three-mail radius.

Rehabilitation Council of Texas

The 15-member Rehabilitation Council of Texas meets at least quarterly to work with TWC Vocational Rehabilitation Services programs to develop, agree to and review state goals and priorities.

Hiring Red, White and You!

The Texas Workforce Commission will host the seventh annual statewide Hiring Red, White and You! (HRWY) job fair on November 8, 2018. In cooperation with the 28 Local Workforce Development Boards, the Texas Veterans Commission, the Texas Medical Center, and Governor Greg Abbott, HRWY connects Texas veterans and their spouses with Texas employers that value the experience, discipline, and other exceptional qualities inherent in a military background.

DiverseAbility Forum - Creating an Inclusive Workplace

Join us and business leaders, state agencies and vocational rehabilitation partners to share keys to recruiting and developing individuals with disabilities. Hosted by the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities, TWC Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers, Texas Workforce Solutions-Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and the University of North Texas.
